Berna Necklace

THE STORY

There's a kind of confidence that doesn't ask for permission, it just drapes itself wherever it pleases. Berna was made for that. It doesn't sit politely around the neck like a good little necklace; it slips down, wraps around, finds its way to the waist like it has somewhere else to be and you're invited to follow. This is jewelry with intention, every chevron link a small, deliberate step closer, every chain a trail left behind on purpose. Berna isn't subtle. It was never meant to be.

THE CRAFTSMANSHIP

I built Berna from alternating pieces of lizard-print and croco-print leather, cut into sharp chevron shapes and layered into a cascading V formation, each texture catching light differently, so the piece feels alive as it moves. The chain is black-plated silver, dark and matte, threading through the leather pieces and extending long enough to wrap from the neck down and around the body. It's fully adjustable, so it drapes exactly where you want it, high at the collarbone, low across the waist, or layered over a swimsuit for maximum effect.

THE STYLING ADVICE

Berna is built for skin, wear it over a plunging neckline, a bare back, or directly over a swimsuit for beach days that need an extra edge. Let the chevron pendant fall where it wants; don't fight the drape. Keep everything else minimal, this piece is the main event, and it knows it.

For long-lasting shine, apply a small amount of moisturizing oil (like coconut or olive oil) to a soft cloth and gently buff the metal parts.
