THE STORY
I was looking at a row of old coins laid out on a market table, each one hammered and uneven, with that worn, cracked texture that comes only from age. That rough, organic texture stayed with me. Irene came from that image, hammered gunmetal discs in graduating sizes, paired with dark silver chains that fall into a long pendant drop. I wanted a piece that felt earthy despite being metal, like something unearthed rather than made, with a long line that draws the eye downward.
THE CRAFTSMANSHIP
I crafted Irene using dark silver-plated copper for the box chain base, paired with hammered gunmetal discs in three graduating sizes at the front, finished with a small GA charm. A secondary chain falls from beneath the discs into a long pendant drop, ending in two smaller hammered discs. The piece is fully adjustable, with a lobster clasp closure that lets it sit at the length you prefer.
THE STYLING ADVICE
Irene is made to be the focal point of any look, let the hammered discs sit at the collarbone while the long drop falls over a simple top or open neckline. Its dark, textured metals pair effortlessly with black, denim, or neutral tones, and the graduating discs add dimension without needing extra layering. It's the kind of piece that feels both ancient and modern at once.
