Kayla Necklace

THE STORY
I have always believed that the most interesting decisions are the ones that refuse the question entirely. Not "this or that" but "why not both, and why not connected." I was thinking about how we get dressed, how we pick an earring, then a necklace, then spend ten minutes making sure they work together. I thought, what if they were never separate to begin with. What if the earring knew where it was going, and the necklace knew where it came from, and the whole thing was just one uninterrupted thought from the ear to the chest. That idea, that refusal to separate what belongs together, became the Kayla.

THE CRAFTSMANSHIP
The Kayla is a single piece that begins at the ear, where a Swarovski crystal stud sits on a delicate base, and a satellite chain descends from it down the side of the neck, connecting to a textured silver ball choker fastened with a spring ring closure. From the choker, two satellite chains drop down the chest at different lengths, one finished with a small Swarovski crystal, the other carrying a sculptural bat motif in silver-plated copper with Swarovski stones set into its wings. Everything is connected. Everything is intentional.

THE STYLING ADVICE
The Kayla demands a low neckline. A deep V, an open blazer over nothing, a strapless dress, anything that gives the chains and the bat motif the chest space they need to tell the story. Wear your hair up so the chain from the ear is fully visible. Keep all other jewelry off. The Kayla is already a earring, a choker, and a necklace in one. It does not need help.
