THE STORY
I was going through old sketches one night, and I found a page where I had drawn two completely different earring shapes side by side, a sharp rectangle and a soft irregular hoop, meant to be a decision I would make later, one or the other. I never crossed either one out. I kept staring at the page thinking about how every profile of a face tells a different story, how the person you are from one side is never quite the same as the person you are from the other. I wanted the earrings to hold that truth. One angle sharp and structured, the other soft and undone, both true at once. Maven exists because symmetry was never the goal. Every turn of the head was meant to give a different impression of you.

THE CRAFTSMANSHIP
Maven is built from bronze-plated copper, shaped into raw, irregular linked forms, rectangles, ovals, and freeform shapes locked together like fragments of something deconstructed and rebuilt with intention. The necklace sits as a rigid collar base that opens into a cascading arrangement of asymmetric links, finished with a small engraved medallion and anchored at the bottom by a length of curb chain that adds weight and edge to the piece. I left the metal with a brushed, weathered finish, so the surface catches light unevenly, like it has already lived a life before reaching you. The earrings are intentionally mismatched, one a sharp rectangular drop, the other a soft, organic hoop, so no two sides of the face mirror each other. It closes at the back with a lobster clasp and adjustable chain, sitting close to the throat with quiet, architectural weight.

THE STYLING ADVICE
Maven does not ask to be balanced. Wear the earrings exactly as they are meant to be worn, unmatched, and let people notice the second before they understand it was intentional.
