Neith Choker

THE STORY

In 1665, Johannes Vermeer painted a girl with a pearl earring and stopped the world. Not because of the earring. Because of the way she turned, that fraction of a second between stillness and movement, between silence and something about to be said. That expression. That light. That absolute, effortless presence. I thought of her the moment I finished Neith. Because this choker carries that same quality, it doesn't shout. It doesn't need to. It sits at the throat like a whispered secret that everyone in the room is trying to hear. Neith was the ancient Egyptian goddess of creation, the one who wove the world into existence before anyone else had begun. I gave her name to this choker because both of them create something out of nothing. Both of them make you stop. And look. And forget what you were about to say.

THE CRAFTSMANSHIP

I built Neith on a foundation of multiple rows of faceted crystal beads, hand-strung in tight, uniform layers that create a wide, lush band of pure transparency and light. The crystal body is framed on both sides by silver-plated copper bars set with 5A diamond cut zirconia stones, clean, precise, architectural borders that give the organic crystal mass its structure and luxury finish. The choker fastens with an adjustable fine-link chain and lobster clasp closure, fitting comfortably up to 40cm and sitting flat and wide against the collarbone with the kind of presence that only a truly constructed piece can achieve. Every bead catches light differently depending on the angle, creating a surface that is never static, never the same twice, always alive.

THE STYLING ADVICE

Neith belongs at the collarbone, and the collarbone belongs to her completely. Wear her with a deep V-neck, a bare shoulder, or a simple round neck that frames the throat without competing. She is extraordinary against warm neutral tones, camel, sand, ivory, champagne, where the crystal picks up every shade around it and multiplies it. For evening, pair with a black strapless gown and let the crystal and zirconia be the only light source you need. Keep earrings minimal, small studs or nothing at all. Neith has already said everything. All you have to do is turn.
