THE STORY
I was watching a documentary about female motorcycle riders in Japan, a subculture that barely gets mentioned anywhere. These women rode at night, mostly alone, through empty highways, and there was nothing performative about it. No audience. No cameras following them around. Just speed and darkness and complete self-possession. One of them was interviewed at a rest stop, helmet off, leather jacket on, and she said something I couldn't shake: that the road doesn't care who you are, and she liked that. I thought about what it means to move through the world like that: unbothered, unadorned, entirely yourself. Reika is that woman's wrist.

THE CRAFTSMANSHIP
Reika is a wide leather gauntlet glove cut from a single piece of genuine black box leather, shaped to wrap the wrist and the back of the hand in one uninterrupted sweep of darkness. The top edge is cut into a pointed silhouette, rising at the center like the tip of a blade, giving the piece its unmistakable warrior edge.
