THE STORY
I was looking at an old jacket with a faded embroidered patch on the collar, the pattern barely visible against the dark fabric, almost like a shadow stitched into the material. That subtle texture stayed with me, dark on dark, something you notice only up close. Tana came from that detail, a choker wrapped in embroidered cotton, with draped chains falling down one side, long and uneven, almost wrapping around the arm. I wanted a piece that looked understated at first glance, but revealed something bold the longer you looked at it.
THE CRAFTSMANSHIP
I crafted Tana using genuine black box leather as the base, wrapped in 100% embroidered cotton fabric for a subtle textured finish. Multiple plated copper chains in mixed styles, curb, figaro, and link, fall from one side of the choker in varying lengths, creating a cascading, asymmetrical drape. A snap closure keeps the choker secure while staying easy to put on.
THE STYLING ADVICE
Tana is made for looks that need a bit of contrast, let the embroidered choker sit close to the neck while the draped chains fall down one side, over the shoulder or arm, for an asymmetrical touch. Its all-black base pairs effortlessly with leather, denim, or simple tops, and the mixed chains add texture and edge without needing extra jewelry. It's a piece that feels subtle until it doesn't.
