THE STORY
I was watching a documentary about the Tuareg people of the Sahara desert one night, and there was a scene of women walking through a market, their robes moving with the wind, fringe and fabric swaying like they were part of the landscape itself. Everything about the way they carried themselves said that they belonged to no one and nowhere except exactly where they chose to be. There was a freedom in that image that I could not let go of. Not the kind of freedom you chase. The kind you simply are. That woman, that movement, that desert wind, became the Azadig.

THE CRAFTSMANSHIP
The Azadig is built from genuine suede leather, soft and warm to the touch, with long suede fringe that cascades from the body of the bag all the way down, moving with every step. The edges are framed by plated copper chains that run along all sides of the bag, framing the entire perimeter, and extend upward to form the shoulder strap, giving the softness of the suede a structured, edgy contrast. A magnetic closure keeps the bag secure at the top, and the interior is lined in suede for a finish that is as considered on the inside as it is on the outside.
