Bernadine Earrings

THE STORY
I was in my village one autumn afternoon and I could not stop looking at the trees. The way the light was coming through the branches, hitting the leaves that were still holding on, turning them into these burning shades of amber and yellow that looked almost unreal. Like someone had set the whole forest on fire and it was beautiful instead of dangerous. I wanted to capture that exact palette, that specific afternoon light, and put it in something you could wear. That moment, those colors, became the Bernadine.

THE CRAFTSMANSHIP
Each Bernadine is handcrafted from bronze-plated copper wire, shaped into two open floral motifs that connect and drop from a hook closure. The upper motif holds a round amber resin stone at its center, warm and deep like the last of the autumn sun. The lower motif holds a marquise yellow resin stone, brighter and lighter, catching light differently depending on how the earring moves. Two flowers, two shades, one afternoon.

THE STYLING ADVICE
The Bernadine earrings are long and dramatic but in the most effortless way. Wear them with your hair up or pulled back so the full drop is visible. They work beautifully with earth tones, burnt orange, mustard, olive, and deep brown, but they look equally striking against black where the amber and yellow stones pop hard.
