THE STORY
I found an old straw hat in my grandmother's closet, woven so tightly it had survived decades without a single thread loose. That kind of craftsmanship stayed with me, the idea that something woven by hand could outlast almost anything else in a closet. Hali started from that same instinct, a round, woven silhouette that feels familiar and timeless, but with a modern edge running along its border. I wanted a piece that felt like it belonged on a beach in any decade, something a woman could carry today and pass down later. The cream woven body paired with a bold bordeaux layer gives it that contrast between soft and striking, between heritage and statement.

THE CRAFTSMANSHIP
I crafted Hali by layering two rounds of genuine vegan basket leather, a bordeaux base sitting beneath a cream woven top layer, so the bordeaux peeks out as a bold border all the way around. The top handle is finished in bordeaux, tying the two layers together. A snap closure keeps the bag secure while staying easy to open with one hand, perfect for beach days when your hands are full. Inside, a transparent waterproof nylon lining protects your belongings from sand, sun cream, or a wet swimsuit.
