THE STORY
I have always been moved by the story of Icarus, not for his fall, but for the moment just before it, when he was still climbing, wings outstretched, believing nothing was too high to reach. I thought about that instant of pure ambition, the courage it takes to fly toward something everyone warns you not to, even knowing the risk. I wanted to design a piece that lived in that exact moment, not the myth's tragedy, but its daring. Icarus was built as a tribute to reaching anyway, wings caught mid-flight, gold catching light the way his did just before it all became too much and too beautiful to stop.

THE CRAFTSMANSHIP
Icarus is crafted from gold-plated copper, cut into delicate, feathered wing forms that curve asymmetrically to hug the ear from two different directions, mirroring each other rather than matching exactly. Each feather is finished with fine, hand-cut detailing that mimics the layered texture of real plumage. A small black bead sits at the top of each earring, a quiet point of contrast against the gold, like a single dark note against so much brightness. The piece secures with a stud at the base, while two small loops at the top hook gently over the curve of the ear, letting it climb upward without needing a second piercing.
