Nalda Stiletto

THE STORY

I was at a rooftop dinner last summer, watching people arrive, when a woman walked in wearing the most understated all-black outfit I'd ever seen, and then she crossed her legs and the entire table noticed her shoes. Red, burning through dozens of tiny cut-outs in black leather, like something alive underneath. She hadn't said a word yet. She didn't need to. Nalda is that moment, the secret you carry on your feet, visible only when the light hits right.

THE CRAFTSMANSHIP

I built Nalda from genuine black box leather, laser-cut with scattered teardrop and circular perforations across the upper, revealing a red box leather lining underneath that glows through every opening. The heel panel features a textured scale pattern, adding depth to the all-black silhouette. The toe is open, and the shoe closes at the back with a zipper, with a cross strap wrapping the ankle for structure and fit. The heel stands at a sharp 11cm.

THE STYLING ADVICE

Nalda is for the woman who lets her shoes do the unexpected talking, pair with all-black or monochromatic outfits to let the red lining surprise. Works beautifully for evening looks where you want one detail that stops people mid-sentence. Keep nails red to match the lining and let the rest be simple.
