Meg Earrings

THE STORY
My mother-in-law once gave me two earrings as a gift, one with a white pearl, the other with a black Swarovski stone, and honestly I never wore either one. They sat in a drawer for years until one day I found myself sketching them together, the pearl at one end, the stone at the other, joined by one long, curved piece. Meg came from that sketch, a way of finally giving those two pieces a purpose, merged into something I'd actually wear.

THE CRAFTSMANSHIP
I crafted Meg using silver-plated copper, shaped into a long, curved ear wire that hugs the ear, finished with a white pearl at the back and a black Swarovski stone disc at the front, with smaller black Swarovski stones set along the textured wire. From the disc, three pearl-strand tassels drape down in varying lengths. The earring has a stud closure, and the malleable wire can be adjusted to fit comfortably around any ear.

Meg is made for looks that need a bit of drama without overwhelming, let the pearl tassels fall freely while the curved wire hugs the ear for a sculptural, layered look.
